Gutter&Stars
Gutter&Stars is Cambridge’s first urban winery, established in 2020 by winemaker Chris Wilson. Located in the basement of a Grade-II listed windmill, Gutter&Stars makes small-batch wines from English fruit.

Inspired by Chris’ background in music journalism, each wine from each vintage features a unique name and original artwork, like different releases from a record label.

Although each wine and label is different, the Gutter&Stars brand is unified by a bold but simple logotype and ‘G&S’ roundel. Each bottle is bottled, sealed, labelled and numbered by hand to complement the craft in each limited vintage release.
Released in 2023, the ‘Play it Cool’ Chardonnay features custom ‘boustrophedon’ typography by the Cardozo Kindersley Workshop, local to the Gutter&Stars winery.
The bold, brightly-coloured Gutter&Stars brand language is distinctive across a range of applications, including packaging, delivery items, button badges and the newly launched Wine Club.
